In today’s Shanghai Daily News it reads:
Woman hopes Alba face-lift gets boyfriend back
So this 21 yr. old girl living in Shanghai wants to win her boyfriend back, who’s completely obsessed with Jessica Alba. He bought her a “Jessica Alba” wig for Christmas and made her wear it. He also made her wear heavy makeup and false eyelashes. People laughed at her so she threw the wig on the floor and broke up with him. BUT, “It was heartbreaking after splitting with him…(he) gave me a feeling like a family…I don’t want to lose him”. She also adds, “I am a psychologically weak person. I want to do something to challenge myself and build a strong personality through it”. SO, as she doesn’t have the money to pay for her “Jessica Alba face-lift” surgery, she posted an add online and The Shanghai Time Plastic Surgery Hospital contacted her and told her if she REALLY wants it done and she REALLY thinks it over, they’ll do it for her, free of charge.
Here’s a photo of her and with her Alba wig and false eyelashes

There is so much wrong with this story I don’t know where to begin.
A. If it’s that easy to get a free face-lift than why the hell haven’t I gotten mine.
B. There is so much wrong with this story I don’t know where to begin.
C. She DOES look kinda cute in that wig.

This is what I mean when I say we don’t need to worry about the “Pajama wearing situation” right now when there are BIGGER things that need to be addressed.
In Shanghai Daily News today it reads:
A man died and his wife injured after falling into an uncovered man hole this past Sunday night in Pudong New Area. The couple had been walking home from a Funeral.
How incredibly sad.

PYRAMID SCHEME CAUGHT BY POLICE
I find this very hard to believe as it would appear the police are good for one thing here and that’s smoking. But apparently there are different “kinds” of police and this particular branch pulled a Sherlock Holmes on these Bernie Madoff’s.
CHINESE police cracked a pyramid scheme worth about 1 billion yuan (US$147 million), according to the Ministry of Public Security.
The company allured (their typo not mine) people into the ring by claiming they were selling highly profitable cell phone chips. With the chips, people could view advertisements on their phones and receive rewards.
Three chief suspects, Shi Yongbin, Qiang Kexin and Fu Yanping, have been arrested and confessed to their crimes.
This “confessing” thing happens a lot here. Hmmmmmm.
Anyway, we need some of them po po back in the States!

The headline in today’s Shanghai Daily News reads:
US FOOD AND DRINK GIANTS FAIL CHINA QUALITY CHECKS
Really.
“The nation’s quality regulator said they were among 154 imported food and cosmetics items that failed to pass muster”. ”Frozen chicken from the US and cookies from Denmark also had flaws”.
I’m going to let the chicken thing go otherwise I will be writing for the next hour, but cookies from Denmark??? Did they have too much love and care in them? However, interestingly the article continues that orange juice from Pepsico (read Satan) got turned back and Pepsico issued a statement that they got it from Brazil and that the orange concentrate WAS below par.
So they knew the stuff was bad AND they threw Brazil under the bus. People, you better check your orange juice back home.
