Can you say DDT?

For the last several days, these beautifully colored “buttermoths” have been keeling over on our patio. Everyday there are 10- 20 of them turned upside down and slowly dying! A neighbor said they don’t live long so it could be that they hatched, hung out together and then it was just their time.
OR
It could be that every few weeks property management comes and says they need to spray for “pests”. They told me the spray is safe but I want to go on record here and now that if Bernie sprouts another head or all my teeth suddenly fall out, you’ll know why. Lord.
Highly unlikely it’s DDT — but another pesticide that is probably unnecessary. What pests are they trying to fight? Cockroaches can be fought best with a caulk gun (close the holes they migrate through). Most other pests can be fought best with a healthier ecosystem (predator bugs take the pests out).
But not DDT.
DDT is bad enough — don’t blame it for the harms other pesticides do.
All the sudden, my kids are smarter, they have grown and they are speaking Latin, in addition to Chinese. Who says the air in China is bad for your health?!!
