The youngest of 6 children, I was born and raised in the Los Angeles suburbs at a time when a kid spent all day wandering outdoors, barefoot. In the 2nd grade at my school’s summer fair, I won twice in the cakewalk. Taking two cakes home I realized life had much to offer, even if one WAS completely covered in coconut. That’s been my life in a nutshell, so to speak. I moved to Shanghai in August 2009, with the love of my life, to continue yet another chapter in what has been a beautiful and challenging life.
